Pythagorean Numerology
The most common system in Western numerology: letters numbered 1 to 9 in alphabetical order.
How it works
Named after the Greek philosopher (though systematised in the 20th century), it numbers A=1 through I=9, then starts again: J=1, K=2 and so on. Names are calculated from the full birth name.
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A J S | B K T | C L U | D M V | E N W | F O X | G P Y | H Q Z | I R |
Compare with Chaldean numerology. Astrool lets you choose either.

Astrool calculates your full birth chart, not just your sun sign, and writes your daily, weekly and monthly readings against it.
Common questions
Is Pythagorean numerology the same as Chaldean?
No. Letter values differ, and Chaldean does not use 9 for letters.
Which system does Astrool use?
Pythagorean by default; Chaldean can be selected.
