Birth Time Rectification

Find your true birth time from the events of your life: the three most likely times, a confidence score, and the events that confirm each one.

Birth Time Rectification

Why the birth time matters

Your rising sign changes roughly every two hours and your house cusps move about one degree every four minutes. Without a reliable time, the houses, the Ascendant, the Midheaven, astrocartography lines and Vedic dasha dates are guesswork. Many people never had a time recorded, or only remember "some time in the morning".

What you'll discover

How rectification works

  1. Tell us roughly when you were born: a window like 6 to 10 am, or the whole day if you have no idea.
  2. Add at least five dated life events: marriage, divorce or breakup, birth of a child, loss of a loved one, a move, a new job or promotion, an accident or surgery, graduation. More events give a more reliable answer.
  3. Astrool tests every two minutes of the window. For each candidate it checks whether slow planets were transiting the chart's angles on your event dates, whether solar-arc directions and the progressed Moon hit them, and whether the Vedic dasha periods match.
  4. The minutes where your events line up best rise to the top, and the three strongest are shown with the events that support them.

Reading the result

The dial shows how well each minute of the day matched your life, with the brightest peaks fitting best. The confidence percentage tells you how many of your events a time explains, and how well, compared with the other minutes of the day. It is not the probability that the time is correct; more dated events make it more reliable.

Rectification is an astrological estimate. A documented birth time from a birth certificate or hospital record always comes first. Check with family or official records before you rely on a rectified time.

Common questions

How many events do I need?

At least five, and the more the better. Events with exact dates that changed the direction of your life work best.

What kinds of events work?

Marriage, divorce or breakup, birth of a child, loss of a loved one, relocation, a new job or promotion, an accident or surgery, and graduation.

Is the result guaranteed to be my real birth time?

No. It is the time that best fits your life events by astrological technique. A documented time always takes priority.

What happens when I save the time?

Your profile is updated and every chart in Astrool, from the birth chart to astrocartography, uses the new time.
