Navamsa (D9 Chart)
Each sign divided into nine parts: the most important divisional chart in Jyotish, read for marriage, dharma and the hidden strength of planets.
Definition
Divisional charts (vargas) split each sign into smaller parts. In the Navamsa, each sign is divided into nine segments of 3°20', matching the padas of the nakshatras. Each segment maps to a sign, producing a new chart.
How it is used
- Marriage and the nature of the spouse
- Confirming planetary strength: a planet strong in both D1 and D9 is "vargottama"
- The second half of life and inner spiritual direction
The Vedic Birth Chart report includes your Navamsa.

Common questions
Why is Navamsa important?
