Palm Lines
The four main lines of the palm, and what palmistry reads in their length, depth and shape.
The major lines
| Line | Runs | Describes |

| Heart line | Across the top of the palm | Emotions, love, empathy |
| Head line | Across the middle | Thinking style, focus, learning |
| Life line | Curving round the thumb | Vitality, energy, major changes (not lifespan) |
| Fate line | Up the centre toward the middle finger | Career, direction, outside influences |
Mounts
The fleshy pads under each finger are named after planets: Jupiter (index), Saturn (middle), Apollo (ring), Mercury (little), with Venus at the thumb base and the Moon opposite. A full mount shows that quality is strong.
