Conjunction

Their energies merge and act together, intensely.

Conjunction

Definition

The planets sit together, about 0° apart. Their functions fuse: Sun–Mercury thinks with the ego, Venus–Mars blends affection and desire, Moon–Saturn makes feelings serious. Whether a conjunction feels easy or difficult depends entirely on which planets meet.

In relationships

In synastry, a conjunction between two people's personal planets is one of the strongest bonds: they feel each other's planet as familiar. See Birth Chart Compare.

Common questions

Is a conjunction good or bad?

Neither by itself. It intensifies the planets involved, so a Venus–Jupiter conjunction is generous and a Mars–Saturn one frustrating until mastered.
