Upaya (Remedies)
Traditional practices recommended to strengthen a weak planet or soften a difficult placement.
Definition
Upaya means "means" or "approach". Classical remedies include reciting a planet's mantra, charity on its weekday, fasting, worship of its deity, service and, more controversially, gemstones. Each is linked to a planet: Saturn with service to the elderly on Saturdays, Jupiter with teaching and yellow on Thursdays.
Remedies are framed as practices of attention and discipline. Astrool suggests simple, low-cost ones and never sells gemstones or rituals. The Vedic Birth Chart report lists upayas relevant to your chart.

Common questions
Are gemstones necessary?
No. Most traditions rank mantra, charity and conduct above stones, which can be expensive and are often misprescribed.
Do remedies change fate?
They are understood to work on attitude and action, which change how a placement is lived.
