Gulika Kaal
The part of the day ruled by Gulika, Saturn's son: whatever starts in it tends to repeat.
Definition
Gulika (Mandi in some traditions) is calculated from the daylight eighths by weekday. Because anything begun in it is said to recur, it is avoided for funerals, debts and illness treatments, but some families use it for things they want repeated, like buying gold or starting savings. See the Panchang.
