House Overlays
In synastry, the houses of your chart that another person's planets fall into, showing which areas of your life they touch.
Definition
Place your partner's planets in your chart's houses, and yours in theirs. These house overlays describe where the relationship is felt. Their Venus in your 5th house brings romance and play; their Saturn in your 4th may feel like steady support or like a weight at home; their Sun in your 10th can raise your public profile.
Reading both directions
Overlays are not symmetrical. Their Moon may land in your 7th while your Moon falls in their 12th, so each person experiences the bond differently. Birth Chart Compare lists both directions; it needs at least one person's birth time to place houses.

Astrool calculates your full birth chart, not just your sun sign, and writes your daily, weekly and monthly readings against it.
Common questions
Do house overlays need birth times?
The receiving person's birth time is needed, because their houses depend on it.
Which overlays matter most?
Personal planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars) in the 1st, 5th, 7th and 8th houses are usually the most felt in romance.
